Langtang Valley Trekking
Langtang is towards the north of Katmandu and just south of the Tibetan border. It is sandwiched between the main Himalayan range to the north and a slightly lower range of snowy peaks to the south. To the west of Langtang is Ganesh Himal with peaks between 6,000 to 7,000 meters. The name Langtang is originates from two different words Langtang. Lang means Yak and Tang means to follow. Having trek to Langtang and Helambu reflects you the unique possibility to watch Nepalese of west to east Himalaya. Langtang and its several peaks along with fresh water lakes of this region such as Gosai Kunda, Saraswati Kunda and many other small lakes situated at the height of more than 4300 mt will create manifold interest and enthusiasm toward nature. Mythical stories of these lakes enriching our legends and Nepalese religions tradition. So, people from Hindu religions go to worship there to pray homage to Lord Shiva (the god of universal). So, it has multidimensional destination for tourist, religions people, romantic people etc. This region has variety of possibilities regarding trekking and tours. Due to variation of altitude you can follow your chosen trail for your comfort. You will be at the height of 5500 Mt for acclimatization along with easy rescue operation at that place. In this trek the Gosainkunda and Gyanjala passes are the most preferred passes for high altitude Trekkers. An Extended from a low altitude of 2,000 Mt to high altitude of 7000 mt covering an area of 1710 sq km.Langtang and Helambu regions is the second largest conserved National Park of Nepal enriched by 1000 species of flora and 150 different species of birds and many wild animals such as Tigers, beers, deer, Wild sheep.This region is full of mountains: Langtang Lirung (7246m), Gang Chhenpo (6388m), Naya Kangri (5846m) and Dorje Lakpa (6966m).

Itinerary in Detail
Day 01: Arrival day in Kathmandu (1,300m/4,264 ft) Namaste & welcome to Himalayan country of Nepal. While you landed at the Tribhuvan intl. airport our representative welcomes you with your name and assists to transfer in your hotel in Kathmandu. After time to get refreshed & rest, pick you up for briefing about the program and evening for welcome dinner in one of the typical Nepalese restaurant with cultural program in the heart of Kathmandu and overnight at Hotel Day 02: A Guided sightseeing in Kathmandu Valley After your breakfast to head on for our guided day trip to world heritage sites in Kathmandu valley and visit the highlights of Kathmandu and the surrounding areas. We take you to visit the pilgrimage sites of Hindus temple Pashupatinath, one of the most important shrine of Shiva temples on the subcontinent which is place of thousand of devotees, Saddhus (holy men/Baba), and can be seen the cremating body most of the times in the holy riverbank of Bagmati. Hundreds of monkeys are giggling with you and take a time to exploring surrounding area and visit Bouddhanath stupa an another pilgrimage centre which is most popular and important place for Buddhist. You can explore with rounding prayer wheel and flattering colorful flag with melodious chanting noise. After visiting Bouddhanath stupa we’ll drive to the City of Devotees (Bhaktapur). This traditional and traffic free town is the third biggest town in the Valley. We’ll explore the medieval like squares, courtyards and temples of this vibrant town. After a stop for lunch at restaurant in Bhaktapur it’s time to drive back to Kathmandu and meet up with your travel consultant & fellows to prepare for next day and overnight at the hotel. Alternatively, the same group may have option to choose same 3 sightseeing place inside Kathmandu valley instead of these given place Day 03: Drive Kathmandu to Dhunche Bazaar (2030m). Day 04: Dhunche trek to Thulo (big) Syabru (2200m). Day 05: Trek from Langtang Village to Kyangjin (3,870m.) This takes about three hours. The trail climbs gradually through small villages and yak pastures as the valley opens out further and the views become more extensive. After crossing several small streams and moraines, the trail reaches the settlement at Kyangjin. Here there is a small monastery and a government-operated cheese factory. Acclimatize and explore the area. It is a dramatic setting, with snow covered peaks surrounding us in all directions. At this point, you can enjoy the panoramic view of Dorje Larpa (6990m.), Langtang RI (6,370m.), and Langtang Lirung (7245m.) and so on Day 06: Rest day at Kyangjin Gompa and explore in and around. You can visit the monastery and the cheese factory, walk up the moraine to see the spectacular ice faces and tumbling glaciers of Langtang Lirung or ascend Kyangjin RI (4350m), directly behind the village, for a breath taking panorama of the Langtang peaks. Day 07: Trek from Kyangjin Gompa to Lama Hotel and it takes about six hours. From Kyangjin you retrace your route, following the Langtang Khola to Langtang village and on to Ghora Tabela. After lunch you continue the steep descent to Lama Hotel. Day 08: Trek from Lama Hotel to Syabru Besi via Sherpa Gaon which takes about five hours. The upper part of the trail is more beautiful for the panoramic view of mountains and green hill views. This path is broader and remains sunny through the different Shepra and Tamang villages. The first half part of the trail is gradually up and then the trail does steeply descent to the Syabru Besi (1,600m.). The main inhabitants belong to Tamang community and they have adopted Tibetan lifestyle. Day 09: Drive from Syabru Besi to Kathmandu by bus or private car, which takes approximately nine hours. You drive through scenic foothills and ridgeline vistas to Kathmandu. The first part of your drive up to Trishuli Bazaar is through gravel and rough road.
